Lima beans! Cynthia

  1. Lima beans are native to South America.
  2. Lima beans grow best in warm climates, 65 degrees and above. Lima beans are used for food.
  3. They are beneficial to your health, they can lower your risk of having a heart attack, give you iron for energy while stabilizing blood sugar, boot your antioxidant defense, and have a lot of fiber and protein.
  4. The lima bean is not a state vegetable.
  5. A few Varieties of the lima bean are Bridgeton, Cangreen, and Dixie Butterpea White.
  6. The lima bean is in the Fabaceae family.
  7. Another type of plant in its family is the Glycine max, known as a soya bean.
  8. It should be planted in the summer.
