Goldenrod- Crystal



  1. Goldenrods are native to North America.

  2. Wet lands, waste areas, & meadows or open fields.

  3. Goldenrod is used as an alternative to perscription drugs some of its benefits are for chronic mucus, whooping cough, hot flushes, kidney and bladder infections, urinary track infections, & diarrhea.

  4. The godenrod is the state flower of Nebraska and Kentucky. Kentucky picked the goldenrod because they didn't like the plant the war department gave them before and so they picked the goldenrod since they grew in Kentucky. And Nebraska picked the goldenrod because the government wanted to.

  5. The broad-leaved goldenrod, the elm-leaved goldenrod, and the wreath goldenrod.

  6. The goldenrod comes from the daisey family.
